Description
Harbor scene oil painting on board by Glocar. Measuring approx 14.75" tall x 17.75" wide overall. Good condition as shown, see photos. Father Emilian Glocar was born in central Europe, and during the 1930's immigrated to the United States. He lived in Cleveland and Akron, Ohio and Eau Claire, Medford, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the early part of his life, he worked as a parish priest and later worked as a full time artist. He was a remarkable individual and a superb painter working in oil on almost any surface using a pallet knife and brushes. Education: Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia, and was an ordained priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Exhibited throughout the Midwest, 1965-1985.
