DESCRIPTION: Renaissance Revival hall or pier table. Mahogany, circa 1860. Shaped base resting on turned Renaissance turnip feet; the frontal supports two massive shaped and carved "S" scrolls joining to a squared top with a back mirror behind the scrolls. PROVENANCE: Per the consignor, was removed from a McCormick family home and stored in a mill along the Yellow Breeches once owned by Henry B. McCormick of Harrisburg. It came into the consignors possession when they purchased the mill. The table is in an elegant and high style example of early Renaissance Revival furniture of the quality that would have been owned by the McCormick and Cameron families of Harrisburg. MEASUREMENTS: 51" wide x 22-1/2" deep x 36" high. CONDITION: Professionally restored in 2017. Refinished. Minor abrasions to bottom edge. MH.
