Vintage Mid-Century (1940s-1960s) Griffin Shinemaster Shoe Shine Box. Solid oak wood with brass hardware and the original Griffin Shinemaster front plaque. Nice construction with interlocking finger joints (the method of joining the corners of wood together) that gives this oak box a fancy feel. The gold, red, and black sticker on the front is still present. It is refinished and can be used as a vanity box.

The box is c.10.1/2" tall including the shoe-rest and feet, 10.1/2" x 8" wide [26.7cm x 20.3cm]; signs of repair and refinishing, the brass parts have patina, wood shows signs of aging, very good condition.
