The pioneer architect Josef Maria Olbrich is the co-founder of the Vienna Secession with Gustav Klimt and Josef Hoffmann.

His Ideen Von Olbrich portfolio displays his work in Vienna up to 1899 and greatly influenced the design and the architecture of Art Nouveau.

The first edition was published in 1900, while the second 1904 edition presented some additional hitherto unknown works by Josef Maria Olbrich in Darmstadt.
