Vintage Sterling Floral Scrolled Band, Ring, Sz. 8.5, 5.5mm Signed with an unknown maker's mark. Age is estimated at 1940's-1950's. Floral blossoms around the ring with stem and leaves between each blossom. Slightlly domed down the center with a lower end toward the edges and than the edges are higher than the ridge. Likely a wedding band. I'm finding more and more rings from the 1930's to 1950's in silver and gold with a floral design as wedding bands while doing research. I've met a maker in the UK who have been in business since the early 1900's and in their business they had designed a series of floral wedding bands for the women in that family and it was a trend. That family was so nice in our back and forth discussion on jewelry that I was gifted one such ring. Sterling floral rings also became popular again int he 60's with flower power, etc. This is in good condition with some typical wear as would be expected. Weight of the ring is appx. 3.74 gr. It is marked sterling as well as the maker's mark and has been tested. (W92620.8 SS6407 J LD 3/6/22).
