Description
Five piece group of mainly Packard Motor Car Company (American 1899-1958) collectibles comprising: a brass radiator cap temperature gauge ornament modeled after the "Goddess of Speed" holding aloft an airplane, on wooden log base, a brass "Goddess of Speed", possibly a radiator cap temperature gauge ornament, on wooden base, a chrome "Swan" hood ornament, a circa 1930 chrome Schneider Trophy seaplane hood mascot (marked 171154), and an etched glass 100th anniversary Packard plaque, all appropriately marked. Note: The "Goddess of Speed" was designed in 1938 by John D. Wilson. The "Swan" was designed by Howard F. Yaeger with the patent issued in 1948. Approx. 4.75", w. 5.5", d. 6".
Condition
Oxidation to brass, some spotting to chrome, no apparent chips to plaque.
