Italian,19th century or older Sicilian donkey cart axle, having a scrolled wrought iron panel with foliate and figural head decoration, on pierced wooden. Approx. h. 13.5", w. 38.5", d. 12".
Condition
Oxidation to iron with one head not present, wear to wood with evidence of previous worming (inactive).
