Four Antique English Mahogany Tea Caddies
circa 1820-1875, the first a George III rectangular form, oval shell marquetry inlay to front and lid, lightwood inlay borders, inlaid elliptical escutcheon, lidded interior with later silvered lining (4 5/8 x 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 in.); the second a George III octagonal form, with light and dark wood border inlay, inlaid diamond form escutcheon, divided twin compartment interior with remnants of original tin lining (5 x 7 1/4 x 4 in.); the third in sarcophagus form, with inlaid octagonal brass escutcheon over turned disc feet, previously divided interior now open (4 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.); the fourth in rectangular form, interior with lidded twin compartments and remnants of original tin lining (4 7/8 x 7 x 4 in.). All appear unmarked.

Some scattered veneer cracks and scratches to veneer; small areas of inlay and veneer loss; later rectangular form with some loss to escutcheon; some lids do not sit flush; no keys.
