A Chinese blanc de chine porcelain statue of Guanyin dating from the 17th century. Guanyin is standing on a wave pedestal while wearing jewelry and a crown with Amitabha Buddha. She comes with a wooden stand and a fitted box.
Dimensions are: 17 1/4 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide, 43.8 cm X 11.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Guanyin's hands are loose and the left hand has been repaired. There are large chips to the robe. Firing cracks are present to the seams, to the hands, to the bottom, and to the interior.
Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong.
