1760-Dated Colonial Currency Issue Receipt for Colonial Currency Prior Issued Bills of Exchange Document
July 29, 1760-Dated French & Indian War / Colonial Period, Colonial Currency Issue Bill of Exchange, Signed by Joseph Talcott Treasuer, Hartford (CT.), Choice Extremely Fine.
This scarce fiscal Document measures 3.75" x 7.5", 1 page, shows that Nathan Mallery of Norwalk had Bills of Exchange from March 1758 Connecticut Currency issue totaling 58.5.0 Sterling plus 6.19.1 in interest. On the reverse of the document is docketing information containing the name, Nathan Mallery, and the date, July 29, 1760. Signed by J. Talcott, Treasurer. Joseph Talcott was the 10th Treasurer od the Colony of Connecticut from 1756 to 1769. A very clean document. Only has a few fold marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
