Description
Native American, Northwestern United States, Alaska, Beringian / Old Bering Sea Culture, Punuk / Thule stage to Inuit, ca. 200 BCE to 1800 CE. A collection of 21 marine mammal bone, stone, and walrus ivory hunting tools and artifacts. Included are fishing and hunting harpoon points or spearheads with lanceolate profiles or slots for securing stone blades, needles, or slender awls for preparing hides, a slate blade, and other worked implements and bone fragments. All is displayed in a modern wood and glass case. Size (largest tool): 8.3" L x 1" W (21.1 cm x 2.5 cm); (case): 18" L x 12" W x 2.3" H (45.7 cm x 30.5 cm x 5.8 cm)
This is an ESA antique exempt piece of ivory and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington. We guarantee that the piece was made prior to 1972.

Slender stone tool repaired with visible break line. Old losses and abrasions to all pieces commensurate with age and use. Great patina throughout. Displayed in modern wood and glass case.
