Painter, sculptor, photographer, filmmaker, writer and composer, Pedro Fuentes is a multidisciplinary artist with an extensive career. Throughout his artistic career he has combined his work as an artist with teaching. In fact, he has worked as an external lecturer in Art and Audiovisual Communication with the Ministry of Culture at the CCM in the CAP. He has also taught Art and Communication in the MASTER of Cultural Management at the School of Art and Antiques (EAA) at the University of Alcalá de Henares and collaborated in the MASTER of Film Directing at the CEU San Pablo University. Since 2011 he has been working as an External Lecturer in Humanities at Fundación Pons in Madrid, at AC ZAYAS, at the Casino Madrid in Alcalá. OCIDIR at El Prado and Museo Reina Sofía and at YOUTOPIA.
He has won numerous awards, such as the ABC Black and White Young Painter of 1986 and the National Prize of Caja Madrid in 1987, Salón de Otoño in 1995 and 1996, among others. Pedro Fuentes' work is widely represented in public and private institutions and art galleries (BNE, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Fundación La Gran Peña, Fundación Pons, Auditorio Príncipe Felipe, Caja Madrid, ABC Blanco y Negro, Catarsis, Galería Marita Segovia, Fermín Echaury, Galería Duran, Detursa, Paz Feliz, Alfama, Galería Capa and Selected Photos International, Galería Cruz Bajo arquitectos, among others), in Estampa, in Art Madrid, and nationally and internationally (Barcelona, Oporto, Rome, London, Kyoto, New York, Dublin).
