A painted and parcel-gilt oak hall bench, A painted and parcel-gilt oak hall bench, 19th century, Continental, with a scrolling top rail and a panelled back, with open arms and a curved seat, raised on splayed turned supports, 127cm wide 58cm deep 85cm high Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London. Condition Report: Rubbing, loss, chips, wear and distress to paint and gilt. Joints solid. Split to seat. General knocks and wear commensurate with age and use.
