Pablo Ruiz Picasso (Malaga, 1881 - Mougins, 1973)
Handwritten letter by Pablo Picasso. Signed and dated Paris 26th March 1947.
Addressed to "Eugenia", a friend of the painter to whom he writes, among other things: “A surprise, here I introduce MarÃa Concepción and her mother.." It can be supposed that the letter was accompanied by a photograph. This was Picasso and MarÃa Teresa’s first daughter, MarÃa de la Concepción, known as "Maya". He also comments that he finds himself "as usual, working day and night, as usual".
26 x 20,5 cm.
Provenance: Bought in the bookshop "Les Argonautes" in Paris in the 1980s.
With a photocopy of the page from the gallery catalogue in which it is referenced.
