Title page metal cut by Victor Hammer based on a drawing scribbled by a clerk of the Parliament of Paris in the margin of a record of 1429 which mentions the lifting of the siege of Orleans. Blue and white duotone cloth gilt-stamped with Croix de Lorraine on cover. Set, printed and bound by hand by Victor and Jacob Hammer at Wells College Press in Aurora, NY. One of 500 copies.
Signed by Victor Hammer on front free endpaper with the inscription "For Kneeland McNulty by Victor Hammer / March 11th 1944". Some pages unopened.
