The 116500 line included several variations of what can be considered as the modern Daytona, each distinguished by a different set of numerals at the end of the reference. There is the steel and gold 116523, the 116528 in yellow gold and, as with the current lot, the 116505 in Everose pink gold. This reference was launched in 2004 and one of the main differentiating factors was the new graduated bezel.
