A group of black basalt teawares, circa 1780-1815
Comprising a teapot with a lion-head spout, moulded with a bust of Wellington attended by Britannia and Fame, the reverse inscribed 'India, Portugal and Spain, VITTORIA, 21 June 1813', 28cm long, a milk jug commemorating the death of Nelson and inscribed 'TRAFALGAR', 11.2cm long, a coffee pot and cover, 24.5cm high, a teapot and cover applied with sprigs of classical figures and the Prince of Wales' feathers flanked by the Royal supporters 14.3cm high, a small Hackwood cream jug, 14.2cm long, impressed HACKWOOD & CO, a small Yates cream jug applied with figures of Cupid, 9.3cm high, impressed Yates, and a small Wedgwood globular teapot and cover with a sibyl finial, 8cm high, impressed WEDGWOOD (11)

Condition
The teapot has some cracks visible within the interior but not on the exterior.
The jug is in good condition.
The cover of the coffee pot is poorly fitting and chipped. Some of the chips appear to be ground out. Otherwise in good condition.
The spout of the teapot has been chipped and shows signs of polishing at the tip.
The Hackwood jug is cracked with an associated chip close to the upper handle terminal.
The Yates jug has two shallow chips on the rim.
The small Wedgwood teapot has a couple of nicks to the tip of the spout.
