A Derby porter mug, circa 1796-1800
Of cylindrical form, painted with a river flowing through a mountainous landscape, three figures resting beneath a tree to the right and two on an outcrop to the left, probably by John Brewer, the pale yellow border painted with a formal design in puce, blue and green, 12.7cm high, crown, crossed batons and D mark in puce
