A pair of Chinese qianjiang hat stands dating from the late 19th century. Each has a 6-character mark and features an inscription accompanying a scene of 2 women with 3 children in a courtly garden.
Dimensions are: 11 1/4 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches diameter, 28.58 cm X 12.07 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Provenance: From a private Virginia collection.
Condition: Chipping to the rim and foot of 1, the other has star cracks to the bottom.
