A pair of Chinese black ground famille rose gu vases dating from the 19th century with wooden stands. The vases feature quatrefoils containing birds and insects with flowers against a black lotus ground.

Dimensions are: 12 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide, 30.48 cm X 11.43 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance: From a private Rhode Island collection.

Condition: Chips to 1 rim, 1 of the stands has been broken and repaired, both vases have been drilled.
