Description
A pair of Chinese famille rose vases dating from the Republic period. The bodies and necks are decorated with scholarly objects and flowers, while various decorative bands adorn the foot, shoulder, and mouth of each vessel. The bottom of each vase has a mark.
Dimensions are: 12 1/2 inches tall X 8 inches in diameter, 31.8 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Provenance: From a private Houston, Texas collection. Each vase comes with a sticker from Ovington's in New York.
Condition: The bottoms have been drilled.
