A CRACKLE-GLAZED CELADON VASE, QING TO REPUBLIC
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The pear-shaped porcelain body rising from a straight foot to a wide everted rim, covered overall with a glaze of sea-green tone suffused with a network of fine crackles, the foot rim and lip unglazed revealing the buff ware.
Condition: Good condition with manufacturing flaws such as ceramic warts, a hairline to the body, and small chips to the foot rim. Old wear, fritting to rims and traces of wear.
Provenance: A notable private collector in Kensington, London, United Kingdom.
