His work was especially notable for his early adoption and development of color etching through a multiple-plate process, resulting in uniquely complex and layered compositions. Born to the famous printmakers Luigi Kasimir and Tanna Kasimir-Hoernes in 1914 Vienna, Austria, Kasimir studied under Hans Frank at the Academy of Graphic Art before moving to the United States in 1936 to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia - Artnet Robert Kasimir, signed, etching, artwork, 20th century art, art print, print, Yale, wall art, home decor. 2
