Every page is illustrated in medieval illuminated manuscript style with decorative color panels, capital letters, tailpieces, and margin embellishments, as well as 10 full page color plates and 6 further tipped in color illustrations by Evelyn Paul. 5 pages of sheet music for proclaiming undying love are provided within the text.The front of the book contains a handwritten dedication in Italian and an ex libris label for the Bruder family of Newton, Massachusetts.
