(4) items including (2) goluk style cane machetes / swords including one having blade of possible European manufacture marked 'LOVEWMW', both having ornamented handles and reed-lashed wood scabbards; a Masai style double-edged machete / sword having widening leaf shaped blade, dinosaur stamp in blade and leather-wrapped wood scabbard including integrated belt loop; and a decorative carved wood dagger with a wide, double-edged form
Provenance: The Estate of George 'Yorgo' Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Length: 25 1/8 inches, Width: 2 1/2 inches (LOVEWMW goluk, unsheathed, tip to pommel)
Condition: Good, overall light to moderate wear consistent with age, materials and normal use; light to moderate oxidation on blades; goluks having wear to scabbards and handles including breaks in reed lashings, scuffs and cracks to wood portions; marked blade goluk having loose handle; dinosaur stamped blade having opening in leather on scabbard
