Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 3rd millennium BCE. A hand-carved stone stamp seal of a rectangular form with a pierced suspension loop protruding from the verso. Inscribed on the front is a standing unicorn with a raised head and a single horn that stands in front of a stylized ritual stand and beneath several vertical striations indicative of early writing. Size: 0.8" L x 0.8" W (2 cm x 2 cm)
