A George IV sterling silver mounted tortoiseshell snuff box, Birmingham 1827 by Nathaniel Mills
incorperating George I tortoiseshell elements, of oval form with a stand-away hinge. The tortoiseshell inset lid with residual inlaid silver pique work of a putto firing an arrow at a rock before a tree, with a ship at sail in the background, motto above A Movr-Vnis. Tortoiseshell inset base. Fully marked to base bezel.
