Description
A George III Scottish sterling silver sauce boat, Edinburgh 1762 by Lothian and Robertson
of ogee form upon a gadrooned and moulded oval foot. The boy with a gadrooned edge and shell form back with a leaf capped double C scroll handle. Engraved to the side with a crest of a Dexter hand, holding up an eagle's neck with two heads erased below the motto Revirescat. Fully marked underneath.

Weight – 285 grams / 9.16 ozt
The crest is for Heron-Maxwell,
Probably for Sir William Maxwell, 3rd Baronet, of Springkell in Dumfriesshire (c.1740-1804), son of Sir William Maxwell, 2nd Baronet (1703-1760).
