Linda Riddell Hoffman（1923－2009）是一位充滿魅力的優雅女士，不僅天姿國色，對生活更充滿積極向上的態度與冒險精神。婚後，定居於波特蘭，並投身眾多活動與團體，曾擔任波特蘭歌劇協會主席，任職於希望之城癌症中心、波特蘭房屋建造協會。在此期間，Linda 對亞洲藝術產生濃厚興趣。於眾多藝術收藏中，尤為熱愛鼻煙壺，更與 Bob C. Stevens、Russell Mullin、Lilla S. Perry 等人齊名，成為當時美國西岸藝術收藏前線的重要人物。1968年，Linda 為促使「第一屆全美鼻煙壺收藏家研討會」在波特蘭舉辦的關鍵性人物，當時組辦會議的核心成員包含 Donald Jenkins、Hugh Moss 等人，是次會議吸引歐美各地眾多鼻煙壺愛好者不遠千里前往參加，成為「美國中國鼻煙壺協會」（「國際中國鼻煙壺協會」前身）的重要奠基石。隔年，Linda 的部分重要鼻煙壺珍藏在紐約「美國中國鼻煙壺協會年會」展出。此外，Linda 亦是波特蘭亞洲藝術委員會之創辦人及董事會成員。晚年，Linda 移居至加州，度過她輝煌的中國鼻煙壺收藏生涯直至耄耋之年。豐富的鼻煙壺藏品陳列在白色櫥櫃中，每件珍品都傾注其滿腔熱情與對亞洲藝術無盡的熱愛。本次「極可愛翫」專場，便有多件鼻煙壺珍品出自 Linda 收藏，不僅令人一睹其收藏之精妙，更是專場藏家與其情誼之見證。

Robert Hall 對中國鼻煙壺富有極大熱情，約三十五年前在一家商店櫥窗看見鼻煙壺後，瞬間陷入玲瓏袖珍的迷人魅力，從此與鼻煙壺結下不解情緣。在涉足該領域後，成為鼻煙壺的主要經銷商，無論香港、倫敦、紐約等各地知名古董博覽會總少不了其身影。且因其專業知識，陸續推出逾16種出版物和難以計數的相關文章，在鼻煙壺藝術領域有著獨特地位。
青黃玉質，選料精良，質地緻密，色澤瑩潤，局部留皮。壺直口，豐肩，扁腹，下承橢圓形圈足。壺一面從右半邊刻琢蒼龍自雲氣中竄出，雲紋卷曲繚繞，弧線流轉優美。蒼龍頭頂雙角，長鬚飄逸，張口露齒，肌肉飽滿噴張，身姿矯健，威嚴霸氣。下方留皮巧雕鯉魚，頗具巧思。鯉魚上方刻蝙蝠展翅遨遊天際，點點沁色恰為蝙蝠身軀紋理；另面光素，打磨細膩，陰刻篆書「美玉文玩」四字。壺底陰刻「行有恆堂」四字隸書款，線條勻稱，字體工整。
宋代陸佃《埤雅．釋魚》：「俗說魚躍龍門，過而為龍，唯鯉或然。」傳說每年三月冰雪消融時，黃河鯉魚逆流而上，於龍門飛瀑下聚集，競相跳躍，欲登龍門，以求幻化為龍。引伸出激勵世人矢志不渝、奮發向上之涵義。本件鼻煙壺巧將棕色處飾為力爭上游的鯉魚，遙望空中神龍，維妙維肖地演繹著「魚躍龍門」的神話故事。本品採淺浮雕、陰線刻及掏膛等技法，龍、鯉魚及蝙蝠以三分法構圖，使龍的主體凸出之餘，亦保留恰當空間感，畫面均衡穩重，富有張力。紅褐色皮巧刻鯉魚頭形，意趣鮮活，具強烈藝術感染力與想像空間。
「行有恆堂」，為第四代定親王載銓的私人專用堂號，取自「周易」：「君子以言有物，而行必有恆。」載銓（1794－1854），弘曆四代孫，封輔國公，襲定郡王，授御前大臣、工部尚書、步軍統領。是清道光時期的寵臣，聲名顯赫，權重一時。載銓雅好收藏，為當時頗負盛名的皇族收藏大家，在清代道光、咸豐二朝設計訂製大量藝術品，其製作之精、門類之廣儼然一個小型造辦處，包括陶瓷、壽山石、玉器、宣爐、鼻煙壺等多個門類，各類文房用具莫不文氣盎然，卻又不失官氣風範。
