Robert Kleiner（1948-2014）三十多年來在鼻煙壺領域獨領風騷，是位廣受愛戴的藝術界人士。法律出身的他本著對藝術的熱情，成為倫敦蘇富比中國藝術部專家。在派任香港期間，結識許多活躍的鼻煙壺收藏家，更和 Hugh Moss、Robert Hall 一起成為知名藏家，亦是 Mary and George Bloch 伉儷的顧問，為之撰寫製作專書。1989年，Robert 離開蘇富比自行創業，將更多注意力集中在鼻煙壺，且定期參加著名藝術博覽會，並在國際中國鼻煙壺協會的董事會任職。
壺以白色玻璃為地，質地細潤，通體套藍色玻璃裝飾。呈扁瓶形，敞口，束頸，溜肩，長腹，腹下漸收，淺圈足。肩兩側有鋪首銜環，壺身兩面紋飾相同，各有一尾鯉魚悠遊，魚體肥碩，擺盪成C字形，動態強烈，身軀刻劃格紋狀鱗片，刀法俐落，線條細密。四周水草連綿，畫面繽紛。整體構圖簡潔俐落，鯉魚形象生動，色彩飽滿，對比清晰。
套玻璃是清代玻璃工藝的獨創，於康熙時期已開始製作，利用玻璃層疊的顏色巧刻紋飾，極具特色。波謝爾在《中國美術史》中稱：「â€¦琢碾，尤其套料－不同層次色彩的琢碾，是中國匠師們所創造的最新穎、獨特的技法，而且取得了優雅的藝術效果。」
