NEW ENGLAND PAINTED WOVEN-SPLINT GARDEN GATHERING BASKET, black ash, wide circular form with wrapped rim and low arched handle having carved inner rim supports, open-weave bottom. Retains an outstanding dry, original green-painted surface. Late 19th/early 20th century. 12 1/4" H, 17" DOA.

Condition

Very good as-found condition, one very small break at rim, and a break to one lower corner splint.
