ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VIRGINIA VERNACULAR WALNUT WORK / SEWING STAND, octagonal rotating top over four dovetailed drawers with original wooden knobs, supported on a turned tapered column and compressed ball pedestal, raised on tripodal base with downswept legs. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Retains a fine old surface with warm color. First half 19th century. 28 1/4" H, 16 1/2" top.
