A Chinese jade carved plaque with phoenix, dating from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). A masterful deeply carved thick oval plaque with Phoenix figure, which is entwined with flowers and leaves in the complex design. Detailed carving in the Phoenix feathers and flower petals. with russets to the surface in some area.
