3 Chinese Plique-a-jour Cloisonne Pieces includes 2 bowls and a plate. The pink bowl is finely created with motifs of birds sitting in flowering trees while the other bowl is accented with butterflies and peonies. A peony and bird motif accents the center of the plate. Plique-a-jour is an enameling technique often compared to stained glass. The enamels are applied onto a temporary background that is removed to allow the light to shine through.
