Scholars discuss painting and calligraphy scrolls. The other incense burner is decorated with geometric designs in red and green. The ginger jar is densely decorated with motifs in blue, green and red with gold outlines. The rich colors and designs recall textile designs. The covered jar with seated Guanyin is decorated with panels of landscapes and bird on paulownia branches, painted in the bold Kutani palette--green; purple; red and ochre.
