[GEORGE GERSHWIN] A collection of printed sheet music by Jerome Kern, Victor Herbert and others, reportedly from the collection of George Gershwin.
Approximately 50 items in original pictorial wrappers, mostly published by Harms in New York from about 1915-1930s, includes a copy of Jerome Kern's Oh Boy! bearing the penciled signature "G. Gershwin," most in a large format 13 1/2 x 10 inches (35 x 26 cm), the wrappers worn and with small losses.

A large group of rare 1930s printed sheet music for popular songs, mostly by Jerome Kern. The group is said to have been gifted to Harold Arlen by Ira Gershwin in the days following the death of George Gershwin in Los Angeles in July 1937.
