A Japanese Meiji Period Shibayama Inlaid Four Panel Screen
Meiji period (1868-1912), four carved wooden panels inset with lacquered and painted bird and flower scenes in high relief inlaid of mother of pearl and bone, reverse side lacquered in red and painted with trees, panels have caster wheels to bottom of each foot, panels are separate, not hinged together.

Condition
Overall good estate condition; one panel has small area of loss to mother of pearl on central bird, same panel with a repair to upper frame on right side; one panel with inlaid of wisteria leaves repaired; some stress cracks to wood; three panels have a break to upper phoenix carvings with old repair and stabilizing wood stints to reverse; some light wear to edges as expected with age and use.
