A Collection of Japanese Mixed Metal Tsubas
Edo period (1615-1868), impressive collection of three well sword fittings tsubas finely decorated in mixed metals, largest in reticulated fashion with a mountain, pine trees, flora, a figure with river below highlighted in gilt, the second with bamboo stalk, a crab, and perhaps the moon with highlights in gilt, and the third with a demon oni running over swirling clouds, scarf billowing above.
Largest 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 in.

Condition
Overall good estate condition; center opening where blade would be inserted has wear loss as expected from use; bamboo tsuba has some discoloration to metal and wear from use.
