Description
A fine 1:12 scale model of a 1930 Eight Litre Bentley by Fulgurex, Swiss, circa 1972,
limited edition kit-built model, constructed from nickel and brass parts, featuring functioning steering and suspension, opening bonnet revealing engine, wire wheels fitted with rubber tyres, differential, leather seats, dashboard, headlamps, and other parts reproduced in fine detail, finished in British Racing Green livery, with plaque to underside numbered 12788, 42cm long, with mirrored display base and Perspex display case. (old repair to rear-view mirror, present but detached).
Footnotes:
The 8-litre Bentley had an extraordinarily short production period, being manufactured between 1930 and 1932, and was showcased at the 1930 London Motor show. Unfortunately, the release of the 8-Litre was badly timed - the Great Depression had started to bite and Bentley found themselves in financial difficulties. Remarkably they managed to produce 100 examples of the 8 Litre before production ceased in 1932.
