Description
A tall Japanese Satsuma-style porcelain vase. The hand-painted and gilded vase is decorated with traditional Geisha in the garden and floral patterns. The vase is adorned with a riffled neck and curved and figural handles. Circa: 20th century. The famous Chinese and Japanese Satsuma porcelain was originally produced by Korean potters in the 16th century on the island of Kyushu. The hallmarks of antique Satsuma porcelain are the hue of the color of baked milk, images of craftsmen and artisans, as well as traditional Japanese landscapes in painting.
