Chinese Ming Dynasty LongQing Yellow Glazed Porcelain Jar. Potted into large vase shape, having thick and tall, globular body heavy on shoulder, short cylindrical neck, round mouth lip and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rings lines. Made in The Years LongQing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
