Shelby West has been one of the famous traditional active wood-fired alkaline GA folk potters. Recently he had a brain tumor from which he has somewhat recovered, but it has for now altered his life. He is turning some pottery again, but his production has decreased. Shelby is located in NW GA. And the pig form is fairly rare for Shelby. Also signed & dated on base 2010. Dimensions 10"x7" tall to tip of ear.
