Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. An opulent string of barrel and spherical glass beads of cobalt blue hues and 18 modern barrel beads of a lustrous golden hue arranged in an alternating pattern at the area opposite the clasp and featuring 2 spherical cobalt blue glass beads and 1 modern golden bead at their center, acting as a pendant. Glowing with stunning coloration and translucence that is complimented by candescent gold accents, these ancient beads are wonderfully wearable, via their modern necklace strand and lobster clasp. This dazzling ornament is replete with ancient artistic talent and modern stylistic taste. Size: 18.5" L (47 cm)
