Regular issue. Two-faced jug. Black, grey, brown and red coloration.
Ulysses Samuel Grant (1822 - 1885), a native of Ohio, was made Lieutenant-General by President Lincoln and put in command of the Union Army in the American Civil War. His successes led to his election as president in 1868. Robert E. Lee (1807 - 1870) was the general in command of the Confederate Army. He was ruthlessly pursued by General Grant, who forced him to retreat from his defense of Richmond, Virginia, in 1865. Series: The Antagonists' Collection (Two-Faced jug). Royal Doulton backstamp.
