Red, blue, and gold coloration.
Charles George Gordon (1833 - 1885) was known as "Chinese Gordon" after he commanded the Chinese forces against Taiping rebels in 1863. As Governor-General of Sudan, he was instrumental in closing down the slave trade. The jug was commissioned by U.K. International Ceramics and issued in 1991 in a special edition of 1,500 pieces. Series: Great Generals. Royal Doulton backstamp.
