First edition of Richard Fisher's Chronological History of the Civil War in America, printed in 1863. History of the Civil War in America Book, measuring 8.75" x 6", Hardbound green cloth covers with gilt-stamped spine and cover, 160 pages. Includes eight double-page, tri-colored maps after Johnson or Colton. Fisher, a physician, was also the editor of "Colton's General Atlas of the World" and a few other volumes. This interesting book contains steel-plate Maps and Plans of the Southern states and harbors, as well as a detailed chronology of the war from its beginning to January 1863.
