Description
1932 Ford Pickup. Iconic. There simply isn't another word to describe the '32Ford. Whether it's a roadster, sedan, coupe, or like this one, a pickup, the '32 grabs your attention no matter what form it takes.Talk about iconic, everyone recognizes that '32 grill. And 1932 was the birth of the flathead V8 from Ford. That engine, a 221ci, newly designed 65hp powerplant started a new phase for Ford motors. This little pickup has been updated with a post 1948 flathead dressed in Edelbrock heads and Fenton exhaust headers. This one was built to drive, cruise in parades and take to an occasional show. Larry Thies did that and it was a crowd pleaser. This one takes a simple, basic hot rod approach. Lower profile reflects a modest... about 3” chopped top. That gives it that look that says "I'm fast!" Beyond that, no frills, nothing extra to distract you. Very simply, some fundamental changes are mixed with the all-steel body, fenders and box. It's simply hard to beat this pickup for hot rod aura and character. No flashy paint or loads of chrome necessary. Throw in a simple little flathead V8, three speed trans and those awesome red wire wheels with wide whites (and matching red grille bars) and you have the makings of the ultimate nostalgia rod.The clean, no gimmick interior boasts a factory dash with just enough gauges to keep track of the important things. A column mounted tach visible through the two-spoke steering wheel finishes out the driver's quarters. The bench seat is comfy and beckons 2-3 people along for the ride. Under that seat is the electrical wiring hub, nicely organized for easy service.Runs well. Title to this pickup shows 1933 Ford 3 Ton, VIN B5193561. Fun and easy to drive and take care of.
