Description

Rare lidded Nantucket basket, attributed to Ferdinand Sylvaro, Nantucket, Massachusetts, circa 1930. Turned walnut lid that opens on each side with inlayed brass hinges. Partial paper label on underside attributes the basket to "Ferdinand Sylvaro, 97 Orange Street." Measures 10.5" across.

Condition

A few minor breaks in weave, otherwise excellent.
