Description
Russian silver medal representing a wreath with a double-headed eagle in a crown. Initials of Alexander I on the left wing and of Nicholas II on the right-wing. Dating 1811-1911 in the upper part. Initials MV, Mestnye Voyska, and Local Troops are placed below. Local troops were military formations in Imperial Russia intended to carry out the garrison and guard duty in cities and fortresses, ensuring the internal security of the state. The medal is dedicated to the centenary of their formation. Hallmarks 84 silver standard and master's initials GS in Cyrillic are cast. Total weight: 33 grams. Russian Military Medals And Insignias.
