Description
Mid-19th century. We believe this to be an unsigned Horace Bundy (1814-1883). The portrait depicts a young girl with ringlets in her hair dressed in a light blue dress with laced cuffs. It appears that she is holding a small toy in her right hand, her left arm is around the shoulders of her brother who is dressed in a similar cinnabar to red colored dress with black trim around the sleeves, and he is also holding an object in his left hand. This is a very nice American school portrait with good details and expressions on the faces of the two children. The background is quite dark but suggests a drapery as a backdrop within the painting. SIZE: 28” x 24”. Condition: CONDITION: The painting is in good condition.
